Description
"Thomas was a tank engine who lived at a Big Station. He had six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler, and a short stumpy dome."
To commemorate my 200th Deviation, here is a rather special piece- concept art of Thomas the Tank Engine, as originally imagined by Wilbert Awdry.
This piece draws inspiration from Awdry's original model of Thomas for his son Christopher, and his hand drawn sketch. Additional detailing is inspired from the LNER J50, probably the closest-looking real locomotive to Thomas' appearance.
Original Model: img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20…
Awdry's sketch: img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20…
An LNER J50: c1.staticflickr.com/9/8326/839…
Fun Fact: 'NW', which later stood for 'North Western (Railway)', originally stood for 'No Where'!
Enjoy! Here's to another 200 deviations... o_o

On the chase today I think a question asked what fictional steam train had NW meaning No Where painted on his side and the answer was Thomas the tank engine. But I'm not sure what Bradly meant.
